Statement by Russian Defence Ministry
In the morning, the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation along with the Border Service of the Federal Security Service thwarted the Kiev's regime attempt to enter the territory of the Russian Federation in Belgorod and Kursk regions.
At around 03:00 Moscow time, after intensive shelling of civilian settlements, the Ukrainian terrorist formation supported by tanks and armoured fighting vehicles attempted to assault the territory of the Russian Federation at the same time from three directions near Odnorobovka, Nekhoteyevka, and Spodaryushino (Belgorod region).
All the attacks launched by Ukrainian terrorist formations were repelled by the selfless actions of Russian servicemen.
Aviation, Missile Troops, and artillery delivered strikes at the enemy.
Up to 60 Ukrainian terrorists and four pickup trucks have been neutralised near Odnorobovka (Kharkov region).
?? On the border line in Ukraine close to Nehoteyevka (Belgorod region), Russian Aerospace Forces, artillery, and Lancet unmanned aerial vehicles eliminated up to 45 militants, two tanks, and two armoured personnel carriers.
On the border lines in Ukraine close to Spodoryushino (Belgorod region), competent actions of state border covering units, Operational-Tactical and Army aviation strikes using the Vikhr ATGM system eliminated more than 100 militants, five tanks, three U.S.-made Bradley infantry fighting vehicles, and two motor vehicles moving towards the State border of the Russian Federation. Another counterobstacle vehicle hit a mine.
Moreover, from 08:00 to 08:25, four attacks of Ukrainian sabotage and reconnaissance groups attempting to enter the border territory near Tetkino (Kursk region) were repelled.
As a result of active operations by the border units the Zapad Group of Forces and the Russian Federal Security Service, the terrorist formations of the Kiev regime have been driven back.
The enemy lost 234 militants killed, seven tanks, three U.S.-made Bradley infantry fighting vehicles, and two armoured personnel carriers.
There has been no violation of the State border.
