Sever Group's Molniya-2 fixed-wing UAVs neutralise AFU military facilities and armoured vehicles in Kursk border area

When destroying small mobile units of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the border area of Kursk region, the servicemen of the Sever Group of Forces use various unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) on a daily basis.

One of the units of the 40th Separate Guards Marine Brigade of the Sever Group of Forces has an entire line of attack drones in service, from standard FPV drones to fixed-wing UAVs, including Molniya-2.

In the border area of Kursk region, the Russian strike drone Molniya-2 has shown high effectiveness during combat missions.

The Molniya-2 UAV teams successfully hit the AFU military hardware and manpower clusters.

The Molniya-2 UAV can be compared to the famous Lancet loitering munition. They have an unattractive appearance. However, in terms of its characteristics, it is not inferior to the Lancet. But it is not the appearance that matters, but the content. These drones fly far more than traditional FPV drones, and the payload they carry along is far deadlier.

The Molniya-2 is more accessible and easy to use, and is capable of carrying up to six kilograms of explosives.

The Molniya-2 UAV is equipped with a catapult. Its compressor creates pressure, and the system literally blows the UAV into flight. Molniya is piloted with the use of a remote control and special goggles, just like an FPV drone.

Flying a fixed-wing UAV requires great skill in flight control and a special knowledge of aerodynamics. Servicemen change the deployment position for each new launch. It allows them to remain unnoticed by the enemy.

There are no problems in supplying reconnaissance and combat unmanned aerial vehicles to the units.
