Bulletin of the Ministry of Defence of the Russian Federation on the deployment of the Russian peacekeeping forces in the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict zone (November 15, 2020)
According to the decree of the President of the Russian Federation from November 10, 2020, the Russian peacekeeping forces continue deployment in the territory of Nagorno-Karabakh.
The core of the contingent is the 15th separate motorized rifle brigade of the Central Military District.
The commander of the military contingent is Lieutenant General Rustam Muradov.
The transportation of personnel, hardware, military and special equipment to Armenia continues by military transport aviation aircraft. A total of 118 flights have been performed since November 10, 2020, including 23 flights over the last 24 hours.
The deployment of the main forces of the Russian peacekeeping contingent continues.
In order to organize the entry of the peacekeeping contingent since November 10, 2020, seven temporary observation posts have been deployed in the Lachin corridor (along the Zabukh road, Lysogorsky, Zarysly).
Yesterday, units of the 15th separate motorized rifle brigade completed the deployment of observation posts in the "North" area of responsibility.
At present, control over the observance of the ceasefire and military operations is carried out by peacekeeping units at nine observation posts in the southern zone and nine in the northern zone.
The Russian peacekeeping forces are controlled from the command post deployed in Stepanakert.
The ceasefire is observed along the entire contact line.
In accordance with the agreements reached in Nagorno-Karabakh, the exchange of bodies of the dead continues. It is carried out under the coordination of the peacekeeping forces of the Russian Federation and the International Committee of the Red Cross and the State Emergency Service of Nagorno-Karabakh.
In order to prevent possible incidents and ensure the safety of Russian military personnel, continuous interaction with the general staffs of the armed forces of Azerbaijan and Armenia is carried out through direct communication channels.
