Russian peacekeepers provided humanitarian aid to children of a boarding school in Nagorno-Karabakh
Specialists of the Russian Center for Humanitarian Response of the peacekeeping contingent, together with philanthropists, organized another humanitarian action to help kindergartens, schools and universities in Nagorno-Karabakh.
As part of the campaign, Russian peacekeepers delivered and installed a carousel, a sports and a playground for pupils on the territory of the boarding school.
The servicemen of the Russian peacekeeping contingent continue to pay great attention to the education and assistance to the children of Nagorno-Karabakh. For children, peacekeepers conduct peace and security lessons, arrange historical quizzes, assist educational institutions in the delivery of drinking water tanks, and also transfer textbooks, stationery, and essentials from charitable foundations.
The children and teachers of the school thanked the specialists of the humanitarian response center of the Russian peacekeeping contingent and representatives of the charity foundation for their assistance. In total, 18 pupils from socially disadvantaged families of Nagorno-Karabakh study at the boarding school in Stepanakert.
Earlier, Russian peacekeepers installed a children's trampoline in the courtyard of the boarding school, collected table football, took part in culinary competitions and handed over the first harvest from the grape pickers.
In accordance with the agreements specified in the joint statement of the President of the Russian Federation, the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia, a complete cease-fire and all military operations in Nagorno-Karabakh were declared from 00: 00 Moscow time on November 10, 2020.
A peacekeeping contingent of the Russian Federation has been deployed to monitor the ceasefire and military operations in Nagorno-Karabakh.
