Pilots of the Russian air base Erebuni in Armenia have started to fly-out new helicopters

Pilots of the Russian air base Erebuni in Armenia have started to fly-out new helicopters which were adopted for service after overhaul at the military airfield in Rostov-on-Don.

14 aircrafts as Mi-8MT, Mi-8SMT and Mi-24P transport-fighting helicopters have become part of the air force formation by Aviation Engineering Service specialists.

During the overhaul and upgrading brand-new engines, control systems and rotors were mounted on the Mi-24 helicopters and also parts of transmission for the accomplishment of special missions in highlands in different weather conditions were changed. External and internal lighting equipment of the helicopters were also upgraded.

In order to increase the efficiency of employment of aircraft and to provide flight safety it is planned to fly-out all new helicopters. After that the servicemen of air base Erebuni will start to prepare the helicopters for summer period.
