CMD aviation will take part in eight international exercises by the end of the year
The aviation of the Central Military District (CMD) will take part in eight international exercises that will be held before the end of the year at training grounds in Russia, Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan. This was announced by the commander of the air force and air defence army, Major General Vladimir Melnikov.
Military personnel of the air force and air defence army of the CMD as part of groups of troops will participate in joint international exercises that will be held successively at the training grounds of Russia, Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan.
The crown of the training of units and formations of the air force and air defence army of the CMD will be their participation in the joint strategic command and staff exercise Zapad-2021 and the subsequent passing of the control check for the 2021 training year.
Earlier, the commander of the Central Military District, Colonel-General Alexander Lapin, said that during the summer training period, nine joint international exercises will be held on the territory of Russia, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan. The main event of the joint training of the troops will be the anti-terrorist exercise Peace Mission-2021.
