A batch of five MiG-31BM interceptor fighters entered service with the Central Military District in 2021
According to the plan for the supply of basic weapons and military equipment in 2021, a batch of five MiG-31BM high-altitude interceptor fighters was received by the fighter aviation regiment of the Central Military District (CMD) stationed in the Krasnoyarsk territory.
The main samples of weapons were received by the regiment from the aircraft factory in Nizhny Novgorod.
The MiG-31BM underwent a comprehensive upgrade of technical components and assemblies, equipped with updated avionics, navigation and electronic equipment, which made it possible to improve tactical characteristics and increase the combat capabilities of interceptor fighters.
Mig-31BM are designed to intercept and destroy air targets, including cruise and ballistic missiles, at extremely low, medium and high altitudes in simple and difficult weather conditions.
