An-12 transport aircraft of CMD delivered the Soyuz MS-20 lander from Kazakhstan to Moscow
The crew of the AN-12 aircraft of the separate transport mixed aviation regiment of the Central Military District (CMD) delivered the descent vehicle of the Soyuz MS-20 manned spacecraft from the Kazakh city of Zhezkazgan to Moscow.
The An-12 transport aircraft of CMD delivered the Soyuz MS-20 lander from the Kazakh city of Zhezkazgan to Moscow with refueling and customs procedures at a military airfield in the Chelyabinsk region. In the capital of Russia, the capsule will be placed at the disposal of specialists of the rocket and space corporation Energia and Roscosmos.
About 200 rescue specialists, an aviation group: 12 Mi-8 helicopters, two An-12 aircraft and one AN-26 aircraft; more than 20 units of ground-based automotive equipment, including six upgraded search and evacuation vehicles PEM-1 and PEM-2 Siniya Ptitsa were involved in the organization of search and rescue support for the landing of the Soyuz MS-20 spacecraft.
The landing of the descent vehicle of the Soyuz MS-20 manned spacecraft took place on December 20 at 06:13 Moscow time. Roscosmos cosmonaut Alexander Misurkin and the participants of the space flight – the president of the corporation Start Today Yusaku Maezawa and his personal assistant Yozo Hirano returned to Earth.
