Units of the Vitebsk airborne unit of the Belarusian SOF arrived in Novorossiysk to participate in the joint exercise Slavic Brotherhood-2021
More than 300 servicemen of the Vitebsk separate guards airborne unit arrived at the airfield of the Southern Military District of Krymsk in the Krasnodar territory to participate in the joint Russian-Belarusian-Serbian tactical exercise Slavic Brotherhood-2021 by the IL-76MD military transport aircraft of the Air Force of the Republic of Belarus.
On the airfield, the Special Operations Forces of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Belarus were met by the Head of the exercise-Deputy Chief of Staff of the Russian Airborne troops, Major General Nikolai Choban, who warmly welcomed the Belarusian paratroopers on Russian soil and wished them a successful solution of joint training and combat tasks during the upcoming exercise.
According to the established tradition, the participants of the exercise were greeted with bread and salt, and the military orchestra of the Novorossiysk naval base performed the anthems of the two countries.
After passing all the necessary sanitary and epidemiological measures, the Belarusian paratroopers arrived at the Raevsky training ground, where they settled down in the autonomous field camp of the APL-500.
On the eve of the Tunnel station near Novorossiysk, a train with military and special equipment of the formation consisting of about 60 units of BTR-80 armored personnel carriers and MAZ and Ural vehicles arrived at the field park at the Rayevsky training ground after marching from the unloading station.
In the period from June 8 to 19, a joint Russian-Belarusian-Serbian tactical exercise Slavic Brotherhood-2021 will be held on the basis of the Novorossiysk guards airborne assault mountain unit in the Krasnodar territory.
The active phase of the combat training event will be held at the Raevsky training ground near Novorossiysk from June 16 to 18.
Military personnel from Russia, Belarus and Serbia will conduct coordination of units for the subsequent development of joint actions as part of a multinational tactical group.
In total, about 100 soldiers of the special brigade of the Armed Forces of Serbia, about 350 soldiers of the Vitebsk separate guards airborne unit of the Special Operations Forces of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Belarus on 60 units of standard military equipment, as well as more than 500 soldiers of the guards airborne assault Kuban cossack regiment of the Novorossiysk guards airborne assault mountain unit of the Airborne Forces will take part in the exercise.
The first three-lateral joint tactical exercise of paratroopers Slavic brotherhood took place in 2015 at the Raevsky training ground in the Krasnodar territory.
