At the exercise in Tajikistan, Russian servicemen repelled a missile and air strike of a mock enemy
Russian crews of the S-300PS anti-aircraft missile systems division repelled a missile and air strike by a mock enemy on the objects of the 201st Russian military base at an exercise in Tajikistan.
At the Lyaur training ground, air defence specialists discovered, captured, escorted and destroyed air targets, making electronic launches of anti-aircraft guided missiles. Targets mimic modern means of air attack flew up to the protected objects from different directions and at different altitudes.
In addition, during the exercise, the standards for reloading the launchers of the S-300PS systems were met and the attack of the conditional sabotage and reconnaissance groups (SRG) was repelled.
During the exercise, Russian anti-aircraft gunners repelled the raid of more than 30 air targets of the mock enemy.
The S-300PS divisional anti-aircraft missile system complex is on experimental combat duty at the 201st Russian military base. The main tasks of the complex are: covering the objects of the Russian formation from the means of air and space attack and air defence of the Central Asian region of collective security.
