All-army stage of Safe Environment competition kicks off in Yaroslavl Region
All-army stage of the International Army Games Safe Environment competition among the best NBC reconnaissance crews started at the Pesochnoe training ground in the Yaroslavl region.
Safe Environment competition consists of three stages - Individual Race, Fire Training, Relay, during which each crew member will practice 26 standards for special training and NBC protection. The contestants overcome the obstacles course of the contest, take part in practical shooting, search for radioactive sources, chemical exploration, special processing, and pass the fire-assault lane.
The training centre of the Military Academy of Nuclear, Biological and Chemical Protection became the country's first international training ground for extreme driving of armored vehicles and practical timed shooting with a change of firing position from small arms.
The All-Army stage was preceded by the qualifying stages of the competition. 1st stage took place in formations and military units, 2nd stage - in formations, and 3rd stage - in the arms and services of the Russian Armed Forces, in military districts, in the Northern Fleet.
More than 2,000 servicemen took part in the qualifying competitions, which were held from February to May 2021, and over 800 units of special equipment were involved.
The all-army stage of the Safe Environment competition will end on May 29 at the Pesochny training ground of the Military Academy, located on the border of the Kostroma and Yaroslavl regions.
The winners of the All-Russian competition will represent the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation in the Safe Environment competition of the VII International Army Games to be held in August.
