Motorized riflemen of Central MD set a track record and won the first stage of Suvorov Attack all-army competition
The crews of the IFV-2 infantry fighting vehicles of the Central Military District won the first stage of Suvorov Attack all-army competition, which takes place in the Chelyabinsk region, and set a track record, covering the distance in 47 minutes and 33 seconds.
Three crews of IFV-2 as part of a motorized rifle platoon of the Central Military District covered an 18-kilometer distance with obstacles without penalty circles, hitting all nine groups of targets: anti-tank grenade launchers and guided missiles, helicopters and mock enemy infantry fighting vehicles at a distance of 600 to 3,000 meters. The average speed of one lap was about 15 minutes, and the percentage of hits was 96%. The record of passing one lap of the distance was set by the cadets of the Far Eastern Higher Combined Arms Command School (DVOKU), they passed it in 13 minutes and 20 seconds. When passing the distance, in addition to the firing line, the crews of combat vehicles overcame nine artificial and natural obstacles, such as a mound about 5 meters high, a ford up to 1.5 meters deep and an anti-tank ditch with a passage, during the passage of which, with the help of mines, the situation of artillery shelling was simulated.
According to the results of the first stage, the victory was won by the Central Military District team, which was the only one to cover the distance without penalties, the motorized riflemen of the Eastern Military District were in second place, the crews of the Western Military District took the third place, they were 10 seconds ahead of the DVOKU cadets.
Participants of the all-army stage of the competition are divided into two divisions. The first division is represented by the crews of the IFV-2 infantry fighting vehicles of the Western, Southern, Central and Eastern military districts, the Moscow and Far Eastern military combined-arms command schools. In the second division, teams from the Western, Southern Military Districts and the Far Eastern Military Combined Arms Command School compete on IFV-3 infantry fighting vehicles. In total, nine teams participate in the competition, more than 300 military personnel and 50 units of military and special equipment are involved.
