Kyrgyz team becomes the winner of Tank Biathlon in the second subgroup
Today, at the Alabino training ground, the final of the Tank Biathlon among the teams of the second subgroup took place.
The final relay of the second subgroup was attended by the national teams of Myanmar, Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan and South Ossetia.
During the relay, each tank crew went through four circles, overcoming obstacles and hitting targets at three firing lines. Shooting is carried out from a tank cannon on the move and from coaxial and anti-aircraft machine guns from a place. The competition was attended by three crews from the team on one tank with a replacement crew.
The servicemen of Uzbekistan were the first to cope with all the exercises on the Tank Biathlon track. Tankers of Belarus completed the race with a minimal lag. Myanmar crews won bronze medals. The team from South Ossetia is in fourth place.
The final race of the first subgroup will take place on September 4, the closing day of the International Army Games. Teams from Russia, China, Kazakhstan and Azerbaijan will compete for the main cup of Tank Biathlon. The race starts at 15:30.
The Relay stage is rightfully very popular among the fans of Tank Biathlon. During the relay race, three crews of each team must alternately pass the track on one tank, while hitting 24 targets and cover almost 50 kilometers of distance. A special feature of the relay is the conduct of flanking fire from the move on tank targets in a section of 400 meters long, which is the most difficult element of the tank biathlon.
In 2021, 19 teams from Africa, Asia and Europe will take part in the Tank biathlon competition. As before, this year the Russian team is represented only by the best tank crews of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation - the winners of the all-army stage of the competition.
