In the mountains of Dagestan, the CFl artillerymen destroy the military equipment of the mock enemy

In the course of bilateral battalion tactical exercise, artillery units of the Caspian Flotilla Marine Corps practiced combat training tasks with the involvement of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAV) crews.

At the combined-arms training ground in the mountains of Dagestan, servicemen used the Orlan-10 unmanned aerial surveillance and reconnaissance systems, which allow them to monitor terrestrial objects in hard-to-reach terrain.

With their help, the servicemen managed to locate command posts, military equipment and engineering structures of the mock enemy and transmit their coordinates to the command and observation post. In turn, artillery crews of D-30 howitzers and 120-mm mortar complexes 2S12 Sani hit full-size targets imitating military equipment and firepower of the mock enemy.

The main purpose of the training activities was to practice the adoption of new decisions by the commanders of artillery units when interacting with the UAV crews.

In total, about 1.5 thousand CFl marines took part in the two-way exercises, more than 200 pieces of weapons and military equipment were involved.
