The Baltic Fleet EW unit during the exercise suppressed the communication system of a mock enemy
On the eve of the Day of the Specialist of Electronic Warfare Troops (EW) of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, a tactical exercise with an EW unit was held at one of the training grounds of the Baltic Fleet in the Kaliningrad region, during which servicemen worked out the tasks of suppressing navigation and radio communications of a mock enemy.
In the course of practical actions at the training ground, the specialists of the Electronic Warfare unit used the Leer-3 unmanned aerial vehicles, the Zhitel automated jamming station, the Borisoglebsk-1 complex, the Lava-RP cell jamming machine and other special funds.
While the convoys of military equipment were moving, the operators of mobile complexes, in order to protect the units of the army corps from radio-controlled mine-explosive devices, suppressed radio signals.
More than 100 servicemen and more than 20 units of military and special equipment were involved in the combat training event.
