A detachment of ships of the Baltic Fleet, performing the tasks of a long-distance campaign, went to the Atlantic Ocean
Today, a detachment of warships (DW) of the Baltic Fleet, consisting of the corvette Stoyky, the tanker Kola, the sea tug Yakov Grebelsky and the floating workshop PM-82, performing the tasks of a long-distance campaign, completed the passage of the Strait of Gibraltar and entered the Atlantic Ocean.
The detachment of ships sailed from the port of Tartus (Syria) on April 8, crossed the Mediterranean Sea and crossed Gibraltar. I went out into the Atlantic Ocean. The arrival of the DW in the main base of the Baltic Fleet — Baltiysk-is scheduled for the end of April.
The ships and vessels of the Baltic Fleet perform the tasks of a long-distance campaign for about four months. During this time, the crews of the corvette Stoyky and the tanker Cola visited the Indian Ocean, where they took part in international maneuvers.
In the Indian Ocean, the crew of the corvette Stoyky conducted several dozen exercises of various directions, visited the ports of the Islamic Republic of Iran and the Sultanate of Oman with business calls. Anti-aircraft and anti-submarine defence exercises were conducted with the ship's personnel, anti-terror groups worked out anti-piracy exercises. While in the Red Sea, a detachment of ships made their first business call at the port of Sudan.
A detachment of ships of the Baltic Fleet consisting of the corvette Stoyky, the medium sea tanker Kola and the sea tug Yakov Grebelsky went to sea from the permanent base (Baltiysk) to perform the planned tasks of the long-distance campaign on December 16, 2020.
