Ships of the Baltic Fleet destroyed a submarine of a mock enemy within the framework of the JSE Zapad-2021
During the launch, the crews of the ships in the sea ranges of the Baltic Fleet performed a number of combat training tasks. In cooperation with the Ka-27PL anti-submarine helicopters, the crews of small anti-submarine ships worked out joint anti-submarine actions-conducted exercises to search, detect and destroy a submarine using anti-submarine weapons.
According to available data, presumably in the area of concentration of one of the ship groups of the Baltic Fleet there is a submarine of a mock enemy, the crew of which is tasked with destroying the ships of the group.
For the operational solution of the task, small anti-submarine ships and Ka-27 PL naval aviation helicopters were sent to the specified square. The helicopters, having performed the elements of "hovering" over the water surface and using sonar means of anti-submarine detection, detected the target and transmitted the coordinates of the submarine to the crews of the Baltic Fleet ships.
During the development of anti-submarine tasks, the crews of the ships carried out a set of measures to classify and track the target submarine. After that, the detected submarine was conditionally destroyed with the help of the RBU-600 rocket launcher and the torpedo armament of the ships.
In addition to anti-submarine activities, the crews of the ships successfully carried out a complex of artillery firing at various targets using practical weapons.
Also, during the departure to the sea, the crews worked out the elements of combat to repel attacks of small-sized targets and means of air attack, performed tasks for joint maneuvering, organizing interaction and communication between ships.
