In the Sea of Japan, the crew of the Pacific Fleet corvette Gromky successfully carried out anti-aircraft missile firing, hitting cruise missiles of a mock enemy.
According to the plan of the combat training event, the corvette entered into a naval battle with the ship of a mock enemy. During it, the crews of the corvette's air defence were involved, which destroyed air targets. The shooting was carried out by the Redut anti-aircraft missile system (SAM) at the Malachite target missile fired by the crew of the Razliv small rocket ship, which played the role of a mock enemy. In addition, the crew of the corvette fired from a 100-mm A-190 artillery system.
During the event, all systems and the anti-aircraft missile system worked in normal mode. The shooting was successful. Visual control over the performance of the combat exercise was provided by the unmanned aerial vehicle of the naval aviation of the Pacific Fleet. The event was held in accordance with the combat training plan of the Pacific Fleet.
