Pacific Fleet ships conduct artillery firing in Okhotsk Sea
The crews of the large amphibious assault ships of the Pacific Fleet Nikolai Vilkov and Admiral Nevelskoy carried out a complex of artillery fires at sea and coastal targets in the waters of the Sea of Okhotsk.
The shooting took place at the naval range in accordance with the fleet combat training plan.
During the exercise, artillery crews destroyed a coastal target imitating the command post of a mock enemy, and also completed a training mission to destroy floating sea mines. Large amphibious ships successfully carried out artillery fire at the towed sea shield.
After the firing, the crews of the ships continued to carry out their assigned tasks at sea and to improve the elements of combat training.
