Crews of warshipsof the CF repelled the blow of a mock air enemy during an exercise at the base point
At the base of the Caspian Flotilla (CF) with the air defence forces on duty, an exercise was conducted to detect unidentified air targets and repel enemy air strikes.
The exercise involved the duty crews of more than 10 surface ships and boats of the flotilla, including the missile ships Tatarstan and Dagestan, small rocket and artillery ships Grad Sviyazhsk, Uglich, Volgodonsk, Makhachkala, Astrakhan.
According to the plan of the exercise, by means of radio surveillance, a mass approach of a mock enemy aircraft was detected. The ships were brought into readiness for the use of air defence systems, combat crews began receiving and analyzing data on the air situation.
Air targets were conditionally destroyed from the anti-aircraft missile and artillery complexes Palash and Palma, as well as from the artillery installations AK-630 and AK 630-M2 Duet.
In addition, the duty shift of the flotilla control center worked out ways to repel small-sized unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs).
