A detachment of ships of the Black Sea Fleet (BSF) as part of the mine defense ship Georgy Kurbatov and the logistics vessel Vsevolod Bobrov carried out the passage of the Strait of Gibraltar and entered the waters of the Mediterranean Sea.

A detachment of ships performs a planned inter-fleet crossing from the Baltic to the Black Sea.

The newest mine defense ship Georgy Kurbatov was accepted into the BSF in August 2021 and became the third ship of the project 12700 performing tasks in the BSF.

On the logistics vessel Vsevolod Bobrov, the St. Andrew's flag was also raised in August 2021, and the vessel was accepted into the BSF.

For the crews, this is the first inter-fleet crossing, during which they will have to overcome more than 5 thousand nautical miles, and conduct a number of ship exercises in accordance with their purpose.

After returning to the main base of the BSF – Sevastopol, the crews of the ships will carry out their post-arrival maintenance and begin to perform tasks in accordance with the activity plan of the fleet forces (troops) in the 2022 training year.
