Missile cruiser Marshal Ustinov went into the Barents Sea to practice anti-submarine missions
The missile cruiser Marshal Ustinov left the main base of the Northern Fleet - Severomorsk - in the Barents Sea to carry out combat training missions according to the combat training plan.
For several days, the ship's crew will practice combat and daily organization at sea, conduct a number of general ship exercises on damage control, NBC protection, as well as anti-aircraft and anti-submarine defence.
As part of the anti-submarine missions, to which the main attention will be paid, the cruiser will practice interaction with the submarine and anti-submarine aircraft, carry out training search and tracking of the submarine, and also perform firing with naval anti-submarine weapons.
Training of combat exercises will be carried out in the Northern Fleet's training grounds in the Barents Sea, which are closed to navigation.
